Yes, I know pageviews aren't everything... Thought I'd get that out the way first

2000 Pageview Celebration Contest!
I did a pageview capture contest for my 1,000, and it's back for my 2,000th! Simply get a screenshot of my 2,000th pageview and send me a link to it to win an extra-big journal feature from none other than yours truly!

If you don't make 2,000, don't forget to get a screenshot of my 1,999th pageview because, in the quite likely event that number 2,000 doesn't show up, number 1,999 will win the prize!
If you don't have any artwork of your own, you can still enter but I will feature a selection from your favourites and collections instead.

Rules:
- The screenshot must show the pageview number (duh!), the top of my journal and your computer's clock (so I can check it's not a fake
). You will have 6 hours from when I hit 2,000 pageviews to send me the link to your screenshot before I give the prize to number 1,999.
- I will not feature artwork that is intended to offend others or goes against dA policies.
- Those submitting photoshopped entries to cheat the system will be ground into a fine paste and used to re-grout my mouldy bathroom tiles. Harsh, but necessary - proper tile grout is so expensive nowadays...

But most importantly of all:
Good luck!

The 2000 pageview mark is approaching quickly and it got me wondering... where are they all coming from?

Over the past few days, my pageview counter has been going nuts! Just 2 weeks ago, I was struggling to make it to 15/day... NOW I'm regularly hitting 30/35ish and last week I even got 42 in 24hrs! So what's going on?
I have loads more pageviews than deviation views... Is that a bad thing? I'm looking at other people's gallery stats here and some have twice as many deviation views as pageviews, where mine is the other way around! Are people coming to my page and running away as soon as they see my gallery?
I don't know...

And now for today's other news stories:

Beta testing: I break it, the admins fix it, I try to break it again... cycle goes on until I can't break it again! Simple as that
The v6 beta version looks good and, while I first thought it didn't work all that well, the admins are taking our advice on board and it's getting better all the time
(at least it works properly now!

(I don't really do this kind of thing anyway...)
I hope you don't mind me hiding it, only it's a reeeally long comment and my page is already longer than it really should be
